A cat can be a fun pet to have, as cats are adorable, entertaining, and easy to take care of – but if you have a cat that is clawing your furniture, cats can also be a huge nuisance! Of course, one way to get your cat to stop clawing your furniture is to have them declawed, but if you have a cat that spends any of its time outside, this is not really the best way for you to go; even if you have to allow your cat to keep its claws, however, you can still successfully keep it from clawing your furniture!

This will, of course, mean you will need to keep a constant eye on your cat, so you might want to keep your furniture covered when you are not going to be around, until your cat gets conditioned to the proper behavior. Once you are able to spend a bit of time around your cat, however -while your cat is around your furniture – you should find that you are able to train them to quit ripping your furniture apart at last!
